Leslie William Brown

I won my first Art award in a N.S.W school's art competition at 9 years of age. This led to art lessons with talented Tura Beach artist Isabella Brown.

Excelling at Eden High school in art and technical drawing, It seemed my direction was

set, Working for advertising agency Mumblegrunt my journey as an artist began. From graphic design at the Visual Design Group Wollongong, to animation experience with Micky Duck Studios Melbourne, then Becoming a Leading Animation Artist for the acclaimed ABC series Little Elvis 1996.

My life partner, Michelle, and I Moved back home to Merimbula Pambula and became proud parents of three, Jessica, Sarah and Josh. After a study of Arthur Boyd's Bundanan Art Centre with Sydney uni art teacher Cristopher Gentle and discussions with Artist Shirly Hannon, I picked up the brushes. Today my paintings, present life in all its glory. I Promoting one world one people, an artist and campaigner for Clean Energy for Eternity and Make Poverty History, I wishes to leave the world a better place than I found it.

 Community Projects:

  • 1 Jan 2007 Leslie's Design for C.E.F.E infamous Washing Machine Sculpture Cyclone Eternity became the focal point of the local Clean Energy for Eternity Campaign.
  • Jan 2007 50/50 By 20/20, 1000 Washing Machine sign.
  • March 2007 C.E.F.E Broulee Life Saving Energy Human Sign.
  • Naidoc week 2007 Leslie was asked to paint a life size yowie for the Bega culture tent.
  • 3 Dec 2007 Manly Beach Sydney Human Sign, An Australian Record 6500 People life Saving Energy Campaign.

Leslie's Paintings today evoke mood and emotion, connecting the viewer to the canvas through beauty and wonder.
